Who We Are
We are a professional organization dedicated to elevating the teaching profession, with a special focus on creating supportive and empowering environments for Black educators.
We strive to offer a diverse range of resources and guidance, covering areas such as advocacy, civic engagement, and professional development, as well as recruitment and retention.
We concentrate our organizational activities in public school districts throughout the State of Georgia, especially in areas with large disparities between the population of Black educators and Black students.

To restore prestige to the teaching profession and ensure safe, supportive environments for Black educators and their students.
Our Vision
To cultivate a teaching profession enriched by enhanced support and resources, significantly boosting the recruitment and retention of Black educators.
Membership
We aim to obtain 5% overall educator membership within the State of Georgia. We will provide educators with the resources and tools to improve equity within their classrooms and close the achievement gap for our black students.
GAEEJ provides programs and professional development services to empower educational stakeholders with the power to deepen networks, develop leadership skills, protect their mental well-being, impact the local community, change trajectories for Black educators and students, and so much more.

GAEEJ specializes in holistic programming to create safe, enriching environments for educators and students. Our efforts focus on elevating the teaching profession, ensuring robust support and resources, and enhancing the recruitment and retention of talented educators.
Professional Development
GAEEJ offers professional development tailored for educators and school districts, focusing on recruitment and retention strategies, teaching best practices, and fostering inclusive, psychologically safe environments. Our programs are designed to cultivate empathy and support in classrooms, enhancing the educational experience for both teachers and students.
